The international conference addressed issues related to the support of Georgia’s legitimate government.

Today, in the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, at the initiative of the Verkhovna Rada, an international conference was held, the main topic of which was "North Caucasus as a Security Frontier of Europe".

The conference was attended by the Acting Minister of Defense of the Republic of Georgia, Mr. Lado Gamsakhurdia, and the Secretary of the Security Council, Mr. Mikheil Baturin. Mr. Lado Gamsakhurdia delivered a speech at the conference.

Constructive talks were held with officials of the legitimate government of the Republic of Georgia: with the Advisor to President V. Zelensky, Mr. M. Podoliak, deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (from the ruling party), Member of the European Parliament, Ms. Anna Fotyga, and the United States Representative for Foreign Policy, Ms. Laura Linderman, who is also the Program Director of the US Central Asia and Caucasus Institute.

The discussions emphasized the need for further meetings in the near future regarding support for the de jure government of the Republic of Georgia and issues related to the security of the European integration process of the Republic of Georgia.
